WHENEVER WE FACE LOSS, WE EXPERIENCE GRIEF
The last two years have been filled with much loss. We’ve said goodbye to loved ones, jobs, communities and more. And with loss comes grief.
Grief is the experience of (adjusting to change and/or) loss. Grief is a person’s response to a loss, typically associated with feelings of deep sorrow and distress. It can be any loss – the loss of a husband, a wife, a partner. The loss of a son or daughter. The loss of health or bodily function. Even the loss of a job, a relationship, or way of life.
Losing something, no matter who or what, is painful and human beings need a way to process that pain. That is grief. Grief is healthy and normal and meant to be experienced in community.
